One Response to “Is Waldorf like Montessori?”

  1. Victoria Blackthorne says:

My children were exposed to Montessori at Bing School at Stanford University. I found that they strnogly encouraged play, both real and fantasy as equally important. My children were both intellectually stimulated, allowed to have lots of freedom of thought, expression, voice, and fantasy play. All through life they have done very well; ethics, how they treat the world and others in it, they are minimalist yet raised in a very wealthy community, they are giving both in time; volunteering, and money helping others. But most important to me is that they are HAPPY, loving adults. One is soon to graduate from Lewis and Clark Law School, the other is an Artist/Software/Web Engineer. Montessori schools can vary from place to place and teacher to teacher. I would not change a thing at Stanford. Thank you Bing teachers!
